Latest Information

It is with extreme sorrow we announce the sad news that our beloved landowner, Richard Williams, has recently lost a short battle with Cancer. Our thoughts are with Julie, Claire, James and the rest of Richard's family and friends at this difficult time. It was very clear the enormous love Richard had for his family, and this is a devastating loss for them all.

Over the past 13 years Richard has been a wonderful host to Stafford Horse Trials, dedicating endless hours, doing everything he could to help make the event what it is today. From ground care, to painting jumps, to delivering hot flasks to volunteers, no task was too big or too small.

Richard was a loved and valuable member of our team and a great support to us. We will miss him dearly, and we know that many of our team and competitors will also be deeply saddened by this news.

The funeral took place on Wednesday 16th January 2019 at Stafford Crematorium. The family have said any donations would be warmly welcomed and split between Katherine House Hospice and Cancer Research.

It was Richard's wish that the event continue, so preparations for our March event will resume as normal.

Welcome to Stafford Horse Trials

In this site you will find a wealth of information relating the Spring National and Summer horse trials including contacts, dates and times, course information and even results (after the event of course).

Situated just to the east of Stafford, the event runs across the land of Julie Williams at Park Farm. The undulating ground always presents a challenge for the horses and riders, and fitness is a key factor to success at Stafford.

Julie Williams & family, James and Vicky would like to welcome you back to a new-look Stafford Horse Trials and thank you for your continued support.
